What we do

#rundonateempowerrepeat

A passion to help others run.

Run

Head Runners are here for each other.

To create an environment and a culture where we can share, without fear or judgement our experiences and stories of how running has made a positive impact on our lives. In our opinion there is no doubt that we are so much stronger, stronger together through running.

Whether we are club runners, solo runners, elite athletes, a group of friends that meet up for a weekly run or just starting out on our running journey, we are all in it together. The joy, the pain, the emotions, everyone goes through it. That is what we do it for right?

More than 6.5 million people in the UK participate in regular running. We are a community, we are a family and we have the power to create change!

It's not rocket science, so let's do this.

Donate

Millions of people in the UK participate in regular running and hundreds of thousands of us sign up for fundraising events across the nation annually, 100K+ taking part in the London Marathon and Great North Run alone!

The power of our community to encourage, support and raise vital funds to help those run who may otherwise feel unable mentally, financially or both is second to none.

Head Runners are here to make the donation process as easy as possible for you through our JustGiving page. All donations are greatly appreciated, thank you. As well as monetary donations, an exciting part of our fundraising is our Sportswear Donation initiative which allows runners to donate all kinds of apparel, from running shoes to t-shirts to running lights and beyond. To help others get moving.

As we grow together so will our opportunity to raise vital funding. Our initiatives also include virtual runs, community & school projects and more. We also provide vital mental health courses for individuals and running clubs across the nation. As we grow together the possibilities are limitless.

Empower

Encouraging, supporting and helping others enjoy mental and social wellbeing through running is what drives us, it is what Head Runners is all about.

Of course, there are many benefits associated with running. Just ask AI.

  • Reduces Stress and Anxiety

  • Boosts Mood and Fights Depression

  • Improves Sleep Quality

  • Enhances Brain Function and Cognitive Performance

  • Builds Mental Resilience and Self-Esteem

  • Provides a Healthy Coping Mechanism

  • Fosters Social Connections

  • Offers the Benefits of Nature

Head Runners embrace all of these and more. We strive to empower others to experience these benefits and share with others. Most of all, we want you to enjoy running.

Being a runner is what matters, not how fast or how far you can run. The joy is in the act of running and in the journey, not the destination.
